I am a team and executive coach and teamwork development expert. I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with an Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) through the International Coaching Federation and a Board Certified Coach through the Center for Credentialing and Education. I am also a board-certified child neurologist and clinical biochemical geneticist.

I earned my medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL and completed residencies in pediatrics, child neurology, clinical genetics, and clinical biochemical genetics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. I am currently the division chief of Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and senior attending physician in the Center for Human Genetics at University Hospitals Medical Center. I am also a professor in the Departments of Pediatrics & Genetics and Genome Sciences within the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. My clinical practice includes the interprofessional care of children, adolescents, and adults with inborn metabolic diseases and other genetic conditions that cause neurologic conditions. I also provide care to pediatric patients with neurologic conditions, including developmental delay, intellectual disability, autism, seizures, and headaches.

Based on my clinical and administrative experience working with and leading interprofessional teams, during the COVID-19 pandemic I began teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on the science and practice of teamwork and offering teamwork retreats and workshops at academic health centers, institutions of higher learning, and nonprofit and for-profit organizations. I now provide team development sessions and coach teams and team leaders to help them achieve higher impact through effective teamwork.
